SEAQUAL INITIATIVE

Seaqual- Plastique marin recyclé

SEAQUAL®: RECYCLED MARINE PLASTIC

SEAQUAL® is a Spanish company with a strong commitment to combating plastic pollution. SEAQUAL®'s goal is to help clean the oceans, raise awareness of the problems of plastic in the oceans, and highlight the heroes working to solve them. Since 2016, SEAQUAL INITIATIVE has been marketing a range of yarns made from marine waste lying on the ocean floor and surface.

SEAQUAL INITIATIVE is a unique collaborative community that works with ocean cleanup programs around the world to transform the marine debris they collect into SEAQUAL®, a new, fully traceable raw material that has the power to raise awareness of marine pollution and shine a spotlight on those who are helping to combat it.
By choosing products containing SEAQUAL®, you are helping to clean the oceans.

Today, all of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE's marine plastic processing takes place in Europe. It is recovered during ocean cleanup operations in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the west coast of Africa.

HOW DOES SEAQUAL® GUARANTEE THAT PLASTIC COMES FROM THE OCEANS?

SEAQUAL INITIATIVE operates a Chain of Custody (CoC) throughout the supply chain, from ocean cleanup to the final retail product. The CoC is a system of procedures and documents that trace the material from its origin to its end use. The CoC begins with a "Certificate of Origin" guaranteeing that the plastic has been removed from the marine environment. This certificate is signed by the registered organization responsible for the cleanup or the licensed waste management company collecting the marine plastic waste.
